Make sure you prepare the right documentation needed for disembarking at each destination or this could mean not leaving the ship at that port of call.
Be prepared for rough seas and take some motion sickness medication.
Tell your doctor the places you will be visiting as you may need vaccinations
Give next of kin the ship's information and telephone number in case of an emergency
If you book a cruise only deal remember that you will have to arrange transport to the port of departure
Check the cabin voltage if you plan to take any electrical equipment (hair dryer, shavers, laptop etc.)
