The series of beautiful lakes and waterfalls also helps to provide an attractive background while playing the course.
The course, which opened for play in 2004, is, at 7,174 yards (6,560 meters), currently the longest 18-hole layout in Portugal.
Several man-made lakes will provide hazards for the players and also serve as water reservoirs for irrigation. The course was specially designed with a view to providing sustainable residential development within the natural surroundings, whilst benefitting from magnificent ocean views from the entire complex.
