| Although some travelers who stay on the Disney complex while visiting Florida and do not hire a a car, Florida has a lot to offer visitors and hiring a car is well worth the economical rates many firms offer. Florida has some fantastic shopping malls, beaches and scenery and we highly recommend renting a car. nearly all car rentals have air conditioning ( a must in this hot climate!) In the United States driving is on the right hand side of the road, and most hire cars are automatic. |

- Remember to drive on the RIGHT.
- DO NOT drink and drive, it is a serious offence and a stay in accommodation provided by the Florida Highway Patrol is unlikely to add to the enjoyment of your holiday. Fines can also be high.
- Likewise with speeding, stick to the speed limits which you will generally find are lower than in the UK.
- Unless otherwise signposted you may turn right on a red light. You must stop first and check for traffic from other directions which has right of way before moving off.
- On highways you are permitted to overtake using all lanes.
- You may not pass Yellow School Buses on any single lane road . The bus is either collecting or dropping off children. Traffic in both directions must stop until the bus moves off.
